Information about the standard:

KRAV was established as a unified association in Sweden with currently 27 members. They represent farmers, processors, trade, as well as the interests of consumers, environmental protection, and animal welfare.

KRAV Standards are adapted to the IFOAM Standard and are included in the IFOAM Family of Standards.

In some cases, KRAV Standards are stricter than the requirements of the EU Organic Regulation. KRAV Standards cover a wider range of businesses, such as the certification of restaurants and fisheries.

Certification according to the private standards of KRAV is voluntary and carried out in cooperation with the association.
Organic Standard is a recognized certification body for conducting inspections according to the requirements of this standard, but the final decision is made by KRAV experts.
